The 3rd "High School Robot System Integration Competition" in which IDEC Factory Solutions participated as a supporting company has ended.

The 2024rd High School Student Robot System Integration Competition (abbreviated as High School Student Robot SI League), in which our company IDEC Factory Solutions participated as a supporting company, was held at the Aichi Sky Expo on December 12th and 14th, 15.

We were selected as a support company for Aichi Prefectural Ichinomiya Technical High School and provided support up until the day of the conference, including checking the operation of the robot system, transporting the robot system to the high school and the competition, and setting it up.

In addition, for the third "High School Student Robot System Integration Competition," Okada from our Safety Promotion Office was in charge of safety assessment and provided full support by holding risk assessment courses, reviewing the risk assessment documents of all participating schools, checking the actual systems at the venue, and providing direct feedback to students.

Unfortunately, the Aichi Prefectural Ichinomiya Tech High School that we supported did not win the award this time, but we believe that the participating students were able to grow significantly through this initiative. We hope that some of these students will be excellent human resources who will carry the future of the robotics industry.

<The significance of our support for the high school robot competition>

Although the robotics industry is a growth industry, there is a possibility that there will be a shortage of system integration engineers in the future due to various factors such as the declining birthrate and aging population, as well as a decrease in the working-age population.

As a robot SIer that has been responsible for the automation of many manufacturing sites, the labor shortage is not something that only affects other companies. We fully support the initiative, as we believe that developing the talent to take on automation in the future is a meaningful initiative that will also lead to the revitalization of the entire industry.

Our company has been involved since the first preparation stage, providing support for the system integration of participating high schools, and as a supporting company, we provide a variety of safety equipment such as IDEC safety light curtains and safety switches with solenoids.
