The Pickit camera uses structured lights to calculate 3D images.Structured light is the process of projecting a known pattern onto a scene.The way this pattern deforms allows Pickit to calculate the depth and surface information of the product you want to select.

The advantage over classic 2D cameras is that 3D cameras do not require special lighting and have no problem with reflections.
For ease of use, it also includes a color camera that displays your current work area in a user-friendly way.
