Introduction Background

Electronic equipment manufacturer C manufactured its products using equipment that it had designed itself.
Because production equipment had mainly been designed in-house up until now, there was no room for an outside perspective to determine whether safety was being properly ensured, and there had long been concern that designs were lacking objectivity. In order to appropriately avoid future risks, the company requested that an objective safety evaluation be carried out from an expert's standpoint, and so it approached us, who can provide total support for control safety and machine safety. The implementation of the evaluation was handled by our Safety Promotion Office, which has safety professionals on staff who are certified as "Safety Lead Assessors."
